Ingredients
- 225g Plain Flour
- 225g Extra Coarse Wholemeal Flour
- 56g Jumbo Porridge Oats
- 1 tsp Salt
- 56g Sugar
- 3 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 ½ tsp Bread Soda
- 1 Whole Egg
- 600ml Milk
- 2 Handfuls Walnuts
- 100ml Black Treacle
Directions
- preheat oven to 160°c
- Mix all of the dry ingredients
- Whisk milk and eggs together
- Add milk, eggs, walnuts and treacle to dry mix and mix well
- Grease your tin lightly and line the bottom of the tin with parchment paper
- Place the mixture into the tin
- Scatter Porridge Oats over top
- Bake for approximately 50 minutes
- Turn out onto a wire rack to cool
