French Toast

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 80 ml milk
  • 40 ml cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 4 thick slices of brioche
    • stale bread is perfect

Directions

  1. Whisk the eggs, milk, cream and vanilla extract together.
  2. Place the mixture in a wide shallow dish
  3. Dip the bread in the dish and leave for 1-2 minutes
    1. Flip the bread and leave for the same amount of time
  4. Melt butter in a frying pan over medium heat
  5. Once the butter is foaming place 2 slices of soaked bread in the pan
  6. Fry for 3 minutes on each side or until golden and crispy
  7. Serve with fresh berries and honey
